Our annual Sports Days took place last week and a fantastic time was had by all!

As is now tradition we had a Year 3/4 Sports Day followed by a Year 5/6 Sports Day. The children were split into 6 Countries; Great Britain, Spain, Canada, France, Brazil and Germany, with the children attending their sports day in the colour of their country.

At the start of each Sports Day the children paraded round the Mundy Junior School Sports Day Arena (A.K.A. The Field) in their countries before taking part in various activities. This years activities were; Football, Basketball, Sprint, Hurdles, Javelin, Chest Push, Speed Bounce and Standing Long Jump.

The children scored individual points on each event which were then added up to give a total for their team.

The winning Country in the Year 3/4 Sports Day was Canada, congratulations to those children on a fantastic team performance.

The winning Country in the Year 5/6 Sports Day was Brazil,
congratulations to those children on a fantastic team performance.

Well done to all the children who took part and a big thank you to the P.T.A. for providing the children with drinks and biscuits and the rest station, as well as big thank you to the many parents who came to support and of course thank you to the staff who manned the stations exceptionally well.
