Children in year 5 and 6 have been studying about the 1960’s They have been looking into styles from this era and have worked on designing their own t-shirts. We all had ago at printing our own t-shirts in the hall the other day, here are some of the finished products.

A Science Supernova

Today in our Science lesson we learnt all about stars. We looked at how they form, how they can burn out and at how they form constellations. After looking at our star signs, we recreated them using pastels and chalks. Can you spot your star sign? Thanks for looking. Mrs Christie’s Class.

Christmas Cinema Trip!

Our children, staff and some parents made the Annual Christmas Cinema Trip to the Scala Cinema in Ilkeston today and were treated to an excellent showing of ‘The Grinch’. Many thanks to our P.T.A who organised the trip which involved transporting over 200 people to the cinema and back across 4 coaches and buses.

Our fantastic Christmas Concerts took place yesterday both in school and at St. Lawrence Church. Remembrance Poppy

Throughout the week of Remembrance, each class had the opportunity to create their own poppy. Once every child had made a poppy, we turned them into one giant poppy, which is now displayed on the school playground.   Thank you to everybody who donated bottles and bottle lids. Miss Brown
