The school uniform code:

  • A maroon sweatshirt, cardigan or fleece
  • A white shirt/polo shirt.
  • Grey or black trousers.
  • Grey or black skirt or tunic.
  • White or black socks.
  • Grey or black tights.
  • Black shoes.
  • All items of clothing should be clearly labelled.
  • It is recommended that no jewellery is worn in school with the exception of stud earrings and a wrist watch.
  • We recommend that ear piercing takes place during the summer holidays as earrings must be removed sport and swimming activities.
  • Nail varnish, temporary tattoos and hair colourants should not be worn during school hours.

Uniform can be ordered through school.

For P.E. lessons as well as any of our After School Clubs, children should:

  • Change into shorts/skirts and a P.E. vest and plimsolls or black or white trainers.
  • PE shorts should be black or navy and your child’s vest or T-shirt should be plain white.
  • Remove stud earrings and/or wrist watches and give them to a teacher.
  • School cannot be held responsible for the safe keeping of these items.

Please note the importance of having your child’s PE kit in school:

  • Children without suitable clothing are not allowed to do P.E.
  • Heavy boots are not suitable for P.E.

We have been advised by Heanor William Gregg Leisure that for swimming children require:

  • Up to mid-length shorts for boys (No board shorts).
  • Full swimming costume for girls.
  • Hair tied back.
  • Remove stud earrings and/or wrist watches and give them to a teacher.


School stores a limited amount of uniform for parents to purchase but a termly order can be placed.
