Walk on the Wildside
We love the wildlife that live side by side with us on the school grounds.
We have created lots of habitats to welcome a variety of animals, insects and birds. From insect hotels to log piles, bird boxes to managing our trees and other plantings.
One of our bird boxes has a camera in it, and we have been lucky enough to have some residents.
May 2023:
We have been learning about adaptations this week with the Year 5's including the life cycle of a butterfly. As part of this we have 10 Painted Lady caterpillars that we are hoping to watch develop into butterflies.
