Our Sports /PE Vision

Intent

Our goal is to develop physical literacy in our children through access to a range of different sports throughout the year. We also aim to help children develop their communication and teamwork skills through sport and provide opportunities for children to participate in experiences which will promote a love of sport.

Implementation

Through detailed lesson planning that focuses on the emotional and social aspects of sport as well as the physical side which is delivered by a qualified coach; by offering lunch time and after school clubs with a variety of different activities. Through taking children to inter-school competitions; through listening to the feedback of children.

Impact

Children are more physically, socially and emotionally literate and can apply these skills across our curriculum; children are more engaged with sport within class and free time. Children are eager participate in new sports outside of school. They can understand the benefits of a healthy life.
